Creativity doesn’t always come in grand gestures. Sometimes, it’s in the tiniest sparks — the scribble in the margin, the humming of a tune, the way you arrange the flowers in a jar. These are the little moments that keep your creative heart beating.
But here’s the thing: we don’t always make time for them. Life gets loud, busy, and full of responsibility. Before you know it, weeks pass and that joyful thing you love doing has been pushed to the back of the shelf.
So, here’s a playful idea:
The Spark Session.
It’s simple, it’s gentle, and it’s just enough to keep joy in your everyday.
- Choose 10 activities that light you up. (Big or small — doodling, dancing in your kitchen, cutting up magazines for a collage, walking in the rain, whatever feels good.)
- Give each one a week. Over the next 10 weeks, cycle through your list.
- Spend just 10 minutes with it. Not an hour. Not a whole day. Ten minutes is more than enough to shift your mood and remind you who you are underneath all the noise.
That’s it. Ten, ten, ten. Ten activities. Ten weeks. Ten minutes at a time.
And honestly? You’ll be surprised at how much difference those tiny sparks make. A little bit of creativity once a week adds up. It lifts you, softens the edges, and keeps that inner creative flame burning.

The world will always demand more of you, but your creative spark is what keeps you vibrant, resilient, and inspired. Guarding it is an act of self-care.
And if you’d like some encouragement and accountability as you figure out how to weave these sparks into your days, that’s exactly what I love to offer through mentoring. Sometimes, having a creative companion makes it easier to say “yes” to yourself.

So, what would be on your list of 10?
